July 28, 2013: Picnic & Petanque in Girard

Hello/ Bonjour:

Keep an eye on the sky for although the forecasts, http://www.katc.com/pages/8-day-forecast/ (or) http://www.klfy.com/weather , give a ray of hope for this Sunday (as they did for last month), July's meeting was indeed "a wet day" and thus cancelled, with a deluge concentrated on the north side of town while not a puddle formed around my house, only a couple miles south. Nevertheless, if such a fate recurs, you'll only have wasted gas, because the game is free to the public, but the club's equipment is limited so come early! Starting at about 2pm and lasting a couple hours, the courts are located around the north end of the park, behind the UL Alumni Center. Whether you live too far to gauge the weather or purely care not to waste fuel and time finding out (or have other questions, comments, or concerns), contact Mike LeBlanc; regardless of conditions, he's sure to be there:
